I’m Kate, a Minnesota native who moved to New York after I fell head over heels for a man in uniform. We married in a little country church in the middle of cornfields and made a ridiculously cute honeymoon baby. We added our second munchkin just this past May during a pandemic and a deployment. Yeah that was fun! When we’re not practicing our #fixerupper skills on our home, you can find us at the Troy Farmers’ Market or drinking copious amounts of coffee because #babies.

When I was planning my own wedding, more than anything else, I wanted the REAL moments to be caught. Not the the Pinterest-y staged images…I wanted raw emotion, the tears, the laughter…I wanted our story authentically told.

That holds true to when I’m behind the lens, telling YOUR story. I want your grandkids to pull out your wedding album and say, “Wow! Papa, were you really crying that much?!” Or “Grannie, you’re smiling so much I can’t see your eyes!” Or, after yet another sleepless night, I want you to gaze at the photos on the wall, at raw moments of motherhood, a reminder of why you’re doing what you’re doing as mama.

I’ll guide your through your day, giving you prompts to help you ease into each other arms and to basically forget that I’m playing third wheel with you on your WEDDING day! MAMAS…let’s hang out for a couple hours and capture cookie making in the kitchen, dancing to Baby Shark in the living room, and reading Good-Night Moon for the hundred and eleventh time.
