the heartbeat of your day

You are pouring your heart and soul into your wedding day, and the people you choose to surround yourself with will reflect the beauty and sacredness of your journey. That includes your wedding photographer.

As your official third-wheel for the day, not only do I capture the heart of your relationship with one another and with your loved ones, I guide you and your guests through your day, helping you transition from one moment to the next. While my style is naturally journalistic, there is planning that goes into as well. Together we’ll create a plan for the day that will help everyone know where they need to be and when.

Rather than just a stranger behind a camera, I aim to become the trusted friend ready to serve you and your loved ones as I capture your love story.

It begins long before your wedding day.

As we prepare for your day, we build our relationship. I take the time to get to know the two of you and what’s important to your day and your vision. I want to know the names of your family. Their personalities. Have you poured your heart into the artistic details? We’ll set aside time to capture them. Are you hoping to have a first look with your dad? We’ll make that part of our plan. Gaining a glimpse into your hearts and hopes for your day is what then allows me to truly capture the soul of your story and those of the beautiful people you’ve chosen to surround yourself with on your wedding day.

Meeting

I want you to feel as though you’re hanging out with your new best friend, since I’ll be spending more time with you on your wedding day than any other person! So when you first reach out to inquire, I’ll ask that we take 45 minutes or so to hop on a video call to chat and get to know one another.

I want you to feel safe, confident and completely yourself while you’re with me, so if we’ve decided we’re a perfect match, then we make it official and book!

Cultivating our Relationship

This is when the magic starts to happen. We craft a timeline and begin compiling that family photo list so that we don’t miss a single aunt or uncle!

More importantly, I start to learn the names of your loved ones and what makes their spark come alive.

My inbox and phone are open for any and all questions during this time as your day starts taking shape.

And…this is also when we get to do engagement photos! This is your chance to practice snuggling and laughing and just being yourself in front of the camera.

Your Wedding Day

This is it! When I show up early that morning as you’re sipping coffee and having your hair curled, you’ll know that I’m bringing my whole heart to serve you and capture your beautiful, beautiful love story.

I’ll have all the practical tools needed to capture the magic, and I’ll get you all to the church on time.

And I may just bust a move on the dance floor with you!

Reliving the Magic

After I’ve bawled my eyes out throughout your day, I ensure that we don’t lose any of those moments. I shoot on a dual card camera so at the end of the day, I already have TWO copies of your photos. The first thing I do when I get home is to back them up before doing any culling or editing.

Once your memories are safe, I highlight a few of my favorite captures to send you as a sneak peek, and the full online gallery arrives in your inbox within 30 days of your wedding. I keep a backup of all your files for six months, giving you ample time to view, share and save the priceless start of the beginning of the rest of your life together.
